I love Flower Mound.
I began my campaign for Town Council with this simple phrase, and this love for our community has guided my thoughts and actions as a Council Member. Over my term in office I have been honored to represent the people of Flower Mound while always seeking the best for our Town.
I am proud of the accomplishments that our Town has made over the last three years. We have seen the creation of a Parks and Recreation Master Plan as well as a Cultural Arts Master Plan. Our Fire and Police have received new equipment and facilities to better serve our community. We have welcomed new businesses to Town. Our infrastructure continues to have improvements to meet our future demands. These accomplishments, along with many others, will ensure that Flower Mound continues to be the best place to live, raise a family, and do business. I am happy to have even the smallest influence on the direction of our Town Council. Yet, my greatest joy has been found in working with individuals in our Town to help solve problems and have an impact on our community. My passion for the people of Flower Mound far outweighs my love of policy making.
As this next election draws near, we will once again come together as a community and decide who will represent us. I have been speaking with my wife and praying about the next election for some time, and have decided that I will not run for reelection.
I have enjoyed my time on Council, and would say that no one has had more fun as a Council Member then I have. I thank all those who have supported me, and have been honored to undertake this privilege.
My love for the people of Flower Mound will continue as I serve in various local organizations. You will find me teaching children each Sunday at Rockpointe Church, or working with adults as they walk through hard times, or leading mission trips to serve others further away, or even serving hot dogs with the Summit Club. The attitude and passion that I have given to Town government will continue as I serve our community in other ways.
Again, I love Flower Mound, and will always seek what is best for our Town. I hope my attitude will filter to others as they serve our community on Town Council.

Honored to say “Thank You” to those who give their knowledge and time to serve Flower Mound on Boards and Commissions.

Proud tonight for approving a Homestead Exemption for the residents of Flower Mound of 2.5% or $5,000 (whichever is greater).
When I became a Council Member I, and all of Council, have been looking for ways to reduce property taxes for residents while keeping Flower Mound in excellent financial condition. Tonight that work came to fruition.
Thank you to all the Council Members who have worked diligently to see this come to pass. Through their efforts Flower Mound has been able to keep one of the lowest tax rates in the area, and tonight we were able to continue to see benefit for our residents while remaining financially strong. Thank you, Don McDaniel, Tom Hayden, Bryan C Webb, Claudio Forest, Kevin Bryant, Steve Dixon, Jim Engle, and Sandeep Sharma. As long as we have representatives who are smart and caring with our residents money, as these have, we can rest assured that Flower Mound will remain the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Special thanks to Jim Engle and Mayor Steve Dixon who truly led this charge at the end. I remember one of the first things I heard from Jim on Council was how can we use the Homestead Exemption to reduce taxes.
I also want to thank the Town Staff, and specifically Debra Wallace, our Deputy Town Manager/CFO. She has been the workhorse who has made sure that we are able to accomplish the strategic plan that has been set by Council while making sure we are good stewards of our resident’s money.
This is a win for Flower Mound!
