Lamar MS Student Council

A few of the Lamar Student Council was able to volunteer and help out with the Lewisville High School Student Council’s Angel Tree project today. We adopted 4 angels from Timbercreek Elementary, brought our gifts to the Next Steps Center and wrapped the presents! We volunteered 3 hours of our time and really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to the parents that also stayed and helped out, it became a family bonding affair. Some of these students had never wrapped presents before today.

I had 32 of my StuCo leaders go to our TASC District 3 mid level Fall Conference to get project ideas, leadership and character training, and even had 3 of my 6th graders present some of our projects to the other schools! They had an awesome time. I love this part of my job! Thank you and shout out to to Jobe Middle School in Mansfield for hosting and our amazing bus driver George with Texas Central school bus company.

Thank you Next Steps Center for allowing us to help with stuffing backpacks for the Back-to-School fair. We had a great time!! We had six members of our Student Council give up an hour and half of their day to help our district’s students with needed school supplies.
