Today, we had the honor of welcoming our grandparents for our special Grandparents Day Brunch! Our gym was filled with big smiles, warm conversations, and delicious pastries as students spent quality time with their loved ones.
A very special thank you to Wilson High School’s Band Director, Jarrod Deas, for providing live jazz music for this occasion!

It’s been a day of hands-on discovery and active learning for our students. Mrs. Commander’s second-grade class spent a day visiting The Farm at Florence 1. Our young learners explored nature, gained hands-on experience, and learned all about life on the farm.

Meanwhile, fourth-grade students were bright minds at work in the STEM lab. They explored science concepts by investigating how light can be used to communicate, experimenting with light signals, and coding secret messages.

We are so proud of our students for staying curious, creative, and eager to learn.

When unexpected absences happen, it takes a truly dedicated educator to jump in without missing a beat. We want to take a moment to give a massive shoutout to our incredible team member, Sylvett Gandy. Today, our students and staff came together dressed in red, white, and blue to honor and remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

In addition to wearing our patriotic colors, our students watched age-appropriate videos and participated in meaningful class discussions to learn more about the events of that day, the heroes who answered the call, and the enduring strength of our nation.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their respect, curiosity, and unity today as we reflect on this important chapter of our history.
