As the first days of autumn arrive, our on-farm events season is beginning to wind down, but the learning continues. 🍂

This month, we invite you to join us for opportunities to connect, learn, and grow through both online and in-person events across Massachusetts.

We are grateful to all of the host sites, presenters, and participants who made this season of workshops, farm tours, and gatherings so meaningful. We hope to see you at an upcoming event this October.

We couldn’t ask for a better way to spend the last day of summer than learning and connecting at Gaining Ground

Thank you to Mark, Maddie, and the Gaining Ground team for sharing how the farm has grown while staying rooted in no-till and soil health practices. We talked compost, cover crops, staff capacity, and more while touring the fields and greenhouses.

Gaining Ground is strengthening our local food system, expanding access to fresh, healthy, locally grown food, and building community along the way.

🌱 From Seed to Cure: Regenerative Grow-Along

What if your garden could be more than just a place to grow plants?

From Seed to Cure is a 12 session series over 23 weeks, and is a hands-on grow along exploring regenerative indoor cultivation through Korean Natural Farming and other ecological practices.

Led by Viondy Merisma thegreentorch you'll follow a crop from seed through harvest and curing while building practical skills for cultivating indoors, including building soil, plant care, natural inputs, and more, while hearing from all sorts of experienced growers. This class is structured around growing cannabis but can apply to all sorts of growers.

It was so great to be at the Boston Food Festival today in the Block B Children’s Zone!

We loved connecting with families, sharing delicious tomatoes straight from Laura’s garden, and talking about NOFA/Mass, soil health, farming, and all things growing with Ruben and Laura.

It’s never too early to learn about soil health and curious children are some of our best teachers!

The rain didn’t stop us from having fun. There was so much good food, learning, and community happening today.

And a big thank you to our board member Karen, a true champion of building community, for all her work, connections, and dedication to bringing people together!
