Congratulations to the South Florence High School Palmetto Girls and Boys State Delegates! We are so proud of you all!

Join us as we announce the recipients of our annual scholarship!

The South Florence High School Academic Awards Ceremony will be held May 14th at 6:00pm in the SFHS Auditorium.

Please join the South Florence Dance students for our spring recital and student choreography showcase next Thursday, April 18th at 6:30 pm in the South Florence Auditorium. The recital will also feature performances from the Delmae Dazzling Dawg Dance Team. The show is free, but donations are greatly appreciated to help support our program.

SFHS Parents and Guardians,
We need your help! We have an alarming number of students who have excessive absences. As a result, these students received one or more FAs (Failure to Attend) on their most recent report card.

Students will not receive credit for courses, regardless of their academic grade, in which their absences exceed the limit (10 per semester course and 6 per quarter class).

Students have come to rely on "attendance recovery" sessions to make up their time, however, this does not make up for missed instruction in class. Students are falling behind academically and in absences. F1S policy states that students are only eligible to make up 4 absences per class. This means that once a student exceeds 14 absences in a semester course, they will not receive credit for the course.

We are holding 3 night time attendance recovery sessions for students who have a Q3 FA. We will not be holding attendance recovery during the early morning, right after school, or during lunch times. Students must take advantage of this opportunity if they need to make up hours.

Reminder:
The South Florence High School APTS scholarships have opened and will closed on April 9th, 2024 at 3:30 pm.

If you are a Class of 2024 Senior, attending college in South Carolina, and member of APTS you are eligible to apply for one or both scholarships. One recipient will be selected for endeavor Scholarship and One recipient for the Academic Achievement Scholarship. Both recipients will receive a single $1000.00 scholarship.

Application Packets can be picked up from the guidance office.
