Stepping Stones Home Child Care and Preschool Stepping Stones Home Child Care and Preschool is a safe, nurturing, fun, engaging and educationally enriched environment for your child to grow, learn, explore and play in. My focus is developing the whole child with curriculum and hands on activities.

Halloween fun! 🎃

We had lots of laughs, took turns, got creative and used problem solving throughout all of our activities. We wrapped each other up as mummies, tossed eyeballs into Halloween buckets, did eyeball balancing races, raced spider toys in water, played Halloween tic tac toe, and of course did a sensory activity where we matched up Halloween erasers and used tweezers to work on fine motor skills. Plus a Halloween treat! Such a special day for all of us to enjoy all the little moments. 💓

Hello families! I am excited to announce I have opened again. I am currently providing care as a License Exempt Provider for up to 3 children besides my own. Lower ratios allow me to spend quality time playing and developing every child in my program! I am current on CPR/first aid, background check and I have over 150 hours of Early Childhood Education training. I’m thankful to do work that matters and makes a difference for families in our community! I love seeing the joy and spark in children's eyes as they light up with happiness while experiencing all the little moments throughout their days.

I will be uploading pictures of my new space in the coming weeks. Please reach out if you have any child care needs and we can talk more!

As a reminder, my mission is to provide a well rounded program for children in our community that families see as a partner they can rely on and trust to give their children the tools to develop during the early years. I want to spark joy and happiness in your child as they experience their day. My goal is to provide enriched educational and social experiences that aid growth and development of the whole child in an encouraging, engaging, safe, fun and nurturing environment. My focus is to create an environment that guides children at their own pace to meet educational and developmental milestones while being a role model in nurturing the character of each individual child and creating a love of learning.

Hello all,

It is with a heavy heart I share I will be temporarily closing due to renting until our new house is built. I am thankful for all of the families I have been able to serve for the last 3 years and will cherish the moments I experienced with the children forever.

I plan to open again in fall of 2022 when our house is complete. I will announce towards that time when I am available for tours and how my program will operate.

We have been having lots of fun with our summer curriculum! ☀️

This week has been about different rooms in your house! 🏠 It’s been fun hearing lots of personal stories and preferences from the kids. They love sharing about themselves and the kids learn a lot from eachother.

We did all things bathroom the other day and talked about proper hand washing and teeth brushing. We focused on social skills like taking turns, waiting patiently and listening during a tooth brushing game. 🧼 🦷 🪥 We focused on the letter I as we talked about our preferences in toothbrush, tooth paste, and floss! Every time someone said the letter I we held up our own letter I item. Ask your little one about what item they picked from the letter I bin❓

We also did a science experiment for a craft where we made our very own bubbles and then painted with them by using straws to blow bubbles on our papers. The creativity the kids expressed was so fun! We had lots of laughs. 🎨 🖼

School update!

School Supply Change SES Families,We are making a change in how we handle school supplies for the upcoming school year...

We have been reviewing the alphabet this summer.

Today was letter H. The kids drew H with their glue, then built it and then decorated it. I was very proud to see during white board time in the afternoon all of the kids were free hand writing H. Way to go kids!

We enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday and made an obstacle course by using our indoor stepping stones outside.

There have been a few sunscreens recalled. Please take a peak at the article just in case you have these at home.

I recommend avoiding aerosol sunscreen because of the effective on the environment as well as the risk of children breathing in the chemicals as it is sprayed into the air.

We are having all kinds of fun!

The kicks are loving Monday morning picking sessions in the garden! Things are growing very well this year. The kids have memorized the life cycle of a plant. 💦 ☀️ 🌱 🌸 🐝 This week we talked about different bugs roles with plants. Ask your kids a few questions and they will tell you all about it 😉
