What does distance sound like? NAU artist Neal Galloway set out to answer that question. 🎨🌟

Inspired by the geographical distance between loved ones and the isolation of the COVID pandemic, associate teaching professor Neal Galloway created "Tin Can Conversations: Wish You Were Here"—a series of art pieces exploring the power of interpersonal communication.

Recently exhibited at ArtX, a three-day multimedia festival in Flagstaff, the work was created in collaboration with fellow associate teaching professor Barbara Ryan Gartin.

After playing football at NAU, Vince Beemiller, ’89, watched two of his sons continue the family legacy as Lumberjack student-athletes. Today, Vince and Lisa Beemiller remain dedicated supporters of NAU through volunteer service, philanthropy, and advocacy for student-athletes, helping create opportunities for future generations of Jacks.
