ππ WORLD DROWNING PREVENTION DAY | JULY 25 ππ
Today, on World Drowning Prevention Day, we come together to raise awareness about something that matters every single day: protecting children around water.
Drowning can happen quickly and quietly. Prevention starts with layers of protection and a commitment to water safetyβnot just during swim season, but year-round. π¦
Help protect the children you love by:
π Providing active, constant supervision around water
πββοΈ Teaching children age-appropriate swimming and survival skills
π Using properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets when appropriate
πͺ Securing pools with barriers, gates, alarms, and other layers of protection
β€οΈ Learning CPR and knowing what to do in an emergency
As a Certified Instructor, my goal goes beyond teaching children how to swim. Itβs about building strong aquatic problem solvers and giving children skills that can make a difference in an unexpected aquatic situation.
Drowning prevention is a responsibility we all share. Every child deserves the opportunity to be safer and more confident around water.
Todayβand every dayβletβs make water safety a priority. π
