Today one of my heros died.
Iâve been crying on and off all day. Their spoken poetry have gotten me through the worst times of my life. I am heartbroken that I will hear no more words for them. They arenât on this plane to create any more art. They knew it was coming, and they were open about it coming, incredibly vulnerable about their morality with strangers to them, and yet my system feels shocked. If I, a fan but otherwise stranger, feels this much, then my whole heart goes out to those who were close to them.
And even further yet, I feel so much gratefulness to have been on this Earth the same time they were.
Their words will live on. I can return to those words for inspiration for the rest of my own life.
A beautiful soul is now one with the universe, and the moon, stars, and fireflies they love so much.
Thank you so much for sharing your vulnerability and art with us, .
You will be deeply missed. đ

Iâve actually been working with for awhile but life gets away from me and then I donât post for awhile. Inciteful is an app/website that you can create an account with, which then allows you to do polls and surveys which earn you tokens. You are then able to turn those tokens in for support sessions. I am one of the coaches providing support sessions! They also have a financial coach and a product management consultant available. So, if youâve had your eye on me for a while but havenât been able to afford it, or if you wanted to get a few sessions in before you commit to a package with me, check out inciteful!

Iâve been excited all week for the surprise that my partner made me for Motherâs Day. I just knew we were going at 11:30. We went to the butterfly conservatory! Butterflies are one of my favorites animals and Iâve been wanting to go for a long long time!

I was in my basically sisterâs wedding last weekend and really loved my hair. Itâs like some sort of punk glam up-do and it made me feel really confident. Really happy to show it off. It held up all day and we really partied hard into the night. Total of 27 hair pins. lol

Continuing discussion of Autistic intersectionalityâŚ
In studies examining the relationship between two things, itâs important to understand the directionality of the relationship. Just because all A are B, doesnât mean that all B are A.
That being said, there *is* actually a correlation in both directions when it comes to autism and gender diversity: people who are gender non-conforming, or gender-diverse, are much more likely to be autistic. People who are autistic are much more likely to be gender diverse or gender non-conforming.
If you take a group of autistic adults and have them complete a measure of gender identity and self-expression, they will vary much more widely from the accepted ânormsâ than a group of allistic adults.
If you take a group of trans and gender-nonconforming people and have them complete screeners about sensory sensitivity and measures of autistic traits, they will score much more highly than cisgender people.
You might be able to guess after yesterdayâs post that this gets orders of magnitude more complicated for autistic people who are not assigned male at birth or are not raised to be male â and therefore whose autistic traits are misdiagnosed, misunderstood, or missed entirely, because of autism still often being viewed as a âboysâ diagnosisâ.
If youâve followed along with me thus far without disagreeing on issues like âautistic people should be allowed to stimâ, âautistic people should be allowed to get super involved in their own special interestsâ, âwe as a society donât need to compound the trauma of autistic people by requiring them to look non-autistic for no good reasonâ, and, perhaps the underlying theme of all of it, âsocial constructs can be changedâ, then you may be one step ahead of me already when I say: there is no reason that autistic people (or, you know, anybody else at all) shouldnât be allowed to express their gender however they want to.
And alsoâŚdoes it surprise anybody at all that people who are told that they donât fit the expected mold from day one also grow up and are more likely to question other arbitrary societal constructs? đ

Both of the hands have rainbow bracelets on, and one of them is also wearing a chunky, cool, orange beaded bracelet. They are in front of a brick wall. End description.]
