We are proud to announce the 2026 Classified Employee of the Year, Mr. Tony Ricker!

Mr. Ricker has a contagious joy that impacts all of the staff and students in his building, and spreads throughout the whole district. He is described by the teachers in his building as someone who will “do anything for our school. He is the heart and soul of our building.”

He truly cares about the students, will have hallway conversations to check in on students or listen to a student that wants to share a story. He allows a team of student helpers to work alongside him with patience and encouragement, sometimes joining them for a quick game of kickball if they finish their tasks early.

Those who submitted nominations on his behalf shared that he “comes to work each and every day with an amazing attitude and is willing to help with anything and everything. He knows everybody's name, everybody's stories, and sincerely cares for our staff. We all know that this building runs because of him. He literally never stops working to keep it functional. He looks for ways to take care of people.”
