There is no school for students on Thursday and Friday, October 15-16, for Fall Break. 🍁 🍂

Our staff will be busy learning, growing, diving-in, *and* doing all the things it takes to close out Quarter 1.

This week we started learning all about apples!! 🍎🍏 On Monday, we made a list of everything we know about apples and then a list of things we want to learn about apples! We’ve been exploring and loving all of our new apple and fall themed centers! We’ve also been doing lots of Apple art projects from cutting and gluing paper on apples to painting apples! We also made some fun Apple pie stew! Also, some bonus pictures from a couple weeks ago that I forgot to post!

For our sense of touch, we had to feel different objects and guess what the object was before pulling it out!

We also had spot school today and learn about our love spot!

I’m so behind on posting pictures!! We’ve been learning about our 5 senses and enjoying an awesome spirit week!!

👀 EYES! We painted with watercolors and used our eyes to discover a secret message on our paper!

👃🏼NOSE! We celebrated dot day on Tuesday with smelly dot markers!! We smelled the different scents and dotted the correct fruit! We also decorated dots and then added gems and string later in the week!

👂🏽EARS! We did a “listen and color” activity, where we listened to different animal sounds and colored the correct animal!!

On Friday, we made sculptures out of clay and beads! We rolled our clay into a ball, added at least 3 toothpicks and chose beads to put on the toothpicks! We also had our first “Spot School” with Ms. Abby!
