Support Filer CTE programs May 20!!

Career Technical Education (CTE) prepares students for careers and postsecondary education by providing academic, technical, and real-world knowledge, skills, and experience. CTE programs are personalized and hands-on, and allow students to explore different career fields
These are some examples of growing CTE programs.

Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
Business and Marketing Education
Engineering and Technology Education
Family Consumer Science and Human Services
Health Professions and Public Safety
Individualized Occupational Training
Trades and Industry

Career Technical Education-CTE
These classes focus on practical skills and knowledge for high demand industries. They aim to prepare students for both college and careers by providing hands-on learning experiences.

What classes are included?
Animal Science, Vet tech, Welding, Fabrication, Small Engines (all in the Ag shop)-then Intro to Ag (also for 8th grade) Plant Science, Plant Biology, Forestry & Floral Design (in the high school building & greenhouse)

The expansion of the CTE building would allow all 3 teachers to be in one building for classes allowing rooms to open up in the high school building for the Art department.

The new bay of the Ag shop would update the Welding facility with modern upgrades. There would also be a much needed addition to the green house. The repurposing of the existing space would provide additional classrooms & lab space for Plant Science & Animal Science.
