Locals!

Do you know a high school student looking for a challenging, yet fun and rewarding sport? The SLVHS Water Polo program could be the perfect fit for them. The high school team is just beginning to start up for fall (grades 9-12) and offers a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team. We would love to see more SLV students involved in such a wonderful program.

Our annual "after Thanksgiving" Water Polo game, for alumni and current SLV Water Polo players, is scheduled for TOMORROW Saturday, November 26 at 9:00am at the SLVHS pool. This is a family event! It's always been a great time to catch up with our large SLV Aquatics community. We hope to see you there!

Hello!

Our first Swim Meet is THIS Friday, March 4 at 4:30pm at Soquel High School. Swimmers will need to arrive by 3:45pm for a team meeting and to warm up. Please plan for tons of TRAFFIC on the way. (We will need parent drivers for all teams.)

For the Meet you should bring:
•Goggles
•Cap
•Team Swimsuit (all black)
•Snacks
•Towel
•Parka and/or warm cloths
•Water Bottle

Things to note:

•Our Team Suits have arrived!! A limited number of swimsuits are available. Girls suits are $45 and Boys are $25. Make checks out to: SLVHS and in the memo line put "Swim Team".

•Sports PE Credit and Two Sport Players-- you are expected to attend 80% of practices and participate in Swim Meets.

The 2022 Swim season begins on Monday, January 31 at 3:30pm! (We know school is out early on the 31st but this is when the coaching staff is available to start.)

We will have JV Boys, JV Girls, Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls Swim teams but there will be no Dive team this year. The first week of practice Monday, January 31 - Friday, February 4 all teams will practice together starting at 3:30pm. Remember -- ALL SLVHS students are welcome to be on the Swim teams, so if you know someone who is interested in swimming, send them our way!! Our practice times have not been finalized yet, we are hoping to have them sorted out this week. We will send a weekly email with information, if you know someone who needs to be added to the email list please let us know.

Playing a Winter Sport?:
If you are still playing a Winter sport we will see you when you finish your season -- but PLEASE email us to let us know you plan to Swim OR stop by the pool deck and say hello!

Things to note:
•You must have a current physical and have completed all Athletic Forms through the DragonFly App to get in the pool! You can find out more about DragonFly and the requirements to participate in SLVHS sports by going to the SLV Athletic website. •It is the swimmers' responsibility to inform their Coach if they are going to miss practice (unless they are too sick to do so) -- Email/Call/Text!

•We will send out our Meet schedule as soon as it’s been updated and approved by the League. (We should have five Meets + Finals.)
We will need parent drivers to our Away Meets!!

•Parent Meeting will be held SOON, stay tuned for a finalized date!

•Our BINGO dates are TBD, we'll have more information soon.

Girls have been ordered and Boys are in process.

For practice you will always need:
•Your Permit to Practice/be up to date on the •DragonFly App
•Goggles
•Cap
•Sturdy Swimsuit
•Towel

Pre-season meeting for Swim and Dive will be tomorrow Thursday, January 13 at LUNCH TIME on the SLVHS pool deck. If you’re interested in participating in Swimming or Diving this season, come meet your Coaches and find out more about the season. This is for ALL teams (JV and Varsity Boys & Girls)-- spread the word!!!

SCCAL Swim and Dive season begins on Monday, January 31. In order to get in the pool you MUST have your permit to practice/physical etc.

Be sure to come to the pre-season meeting to give your contact info to your coach and order a suit.
