Memento Mori BJJ & Judo Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo school. In 2009 he took a hiatus from training to pursue his career and to start a family.

Josh Barrows - Head Instructor: Starting his Jiu Jitsu journey back in 2006, Josh began training at a local Royce Gracie school in Agawam Ma, where he received his blue belt 2007. For the next several years he always had Jiu Jitsu in the back of his mind and attempted to get back on the mats several times over the years. In Nov of 2020 Josh final was in a place where he was able devote time to thi

s martial art which had influenced his life so much and resumed his training at Gracie Farmington Valley in Canton Ct. Under the tutelage of Jason Bell, a friend from back in his Royce Gracie days, and received his purple belt in Dec 11th of 2021, two days before his 33rd birthday. Josh also began training in the art of Judo, under Dave Stratton in Dec of 2021 to develop a solid stand-up game to add to his abilities on the mat. During that time Josh has had a desire to bring Jiu Jitsu and Judo to others in his hometown of Agawam Ma, in hopes that it will positively impact their lives the way it has his. He started a Jiu Jitsu club with a few friends and has offered to teach Jiu Jitsu and Judo to anyone he knew that was interested. Now in a position to take the next step Josh has opened the club to the public in hope that in time he can make this passion a business.
