The Challenge Family Almere-Amsterdam triathlon is the second-oldest long-distance race in the world, having started 40 years ago in 1981. This year, the event returned after the previous years’ disruption. Although ongoing restrictions meant there were just over half the usual number of participants, the event organizers were determined to offer those 1300+ athletes the top tier experience that has become synonymous with the prestigious triathlon.
