Somewhere Along the Greenway 🌿

Is it just me, or has Arkansas been extra GREEN this summer?!

Usually by August, everything is looking a little dried out and tired, but this year the gardens are lush, the grass is still green, and the flower beds are showing off. 😂 If it weren’t for the crazy temperatures lately, I’d almost think it was spring!

I’ve been especially inspired by the trails around here and all the beautiful overgrowth along the creeks. There’s just so much color and texture everywhere you look—and of course, I had to paint it!

Somewhere Along the Greenway is a 16x20 textured abstract original filled with all those greens, pops of color and messy, happy layers that make me want to get outside and explore.

This one will be available soon! 💚

Lumaprints reached out to me offering free product samples for an honest review. I was actually looking for a new 2D small scale printer for some of my best selling prints, so this was a great way to give them a try. The ordering process online was simple and turnaround was pretty quick. Over all I’m very impressed with the quality of the paper and canvas prints I received. Here’s the details. Comment below with any questions on anything related😘

“Summer’s End” original abstract with natural wood frame.

One of my favorite things about abstract art, beside the fact it’s so fun to paint, is that there isn’t just one right answer.

When I finish an expressive painting, I often realize the marks, layers, and movement reflect something happening in my own life—even if I didn’t recognize it while I was painting.

But then someone else will look at the very same piece and see something completely different… something that connects to their story, memories, or emotions.

I think that’s the beauty of abstract art. It meets each of us where we are.

So I’m curious…

What do you see in this painting?

There are no wrong answers. I’d genuinely love to hear what catches your eye, what it reminds you of, or how it makes you feel.

It’s the last day of July, and I almost let slip by without celebrating! 🍦 So here’s a little summertime painting throwback that’s still one of my favorites.

I also have to tell you about something I’m excited about. I recently placed a sample order for some 8×10 print samples from Lumaprints, and I’m honestly blown away by the quality of these prints! Just look at that texture! 🤯 And the best part? This wasn’t even made from a professional scan—just a photo I took myself.

I’ve got more samples to share soon, but I couldn’t resist showing you this sweet one before July comes to an end. These 8x10 prints will be available soon!

If you’ve ever wondered how to turn your artwork into beautiful prints and products, you know I have a course that walks you through the process. 😉 Just send me a DM, and I’d be happy to send you the details!
