Director spotlight

Ms. Britni is from the Pacific Northwest but has lived in the area for over twelve years. She and her husband have four children together. This is her fourth year as Director of First School. She knows the core of the school is its teachers and is so grateful for a wonderful group of women who put their heart into each lesson plan and each day with the children. She looks forward to another great year at First School!

Classroom spotlight- KT Academy

Miss Paige begins her 8th year at FS. She is a retired CCS with 30 years in the NC Public Schools. She is a National Board Certified Teacher. She has 2 adult children who are also Educators and a spoiled Cat! She is a member of Haymount UMC where is active in both Children’s and Adult Ministries.

Ms Kaylan studied Early Childhood Education in college. She was a student teacher at Utah Valley State College. She has her Associates Degree in Family and Religious Studies. She and her husband have four wonderful children together. She is looking forward to starting her second year of Assistant Teaching at First School this fall!

Classroom spotlight- Mother’s Morning Out MMO

Ms. Jessica is so excited to welcome your family to a brand-new school year! She has been part of the First School Family since 2023. She is an Army veteran, a proud wife, and a boy mom to two amazing boys.
She can’t wait to spend this year helping your little ones learn, grow, laugh, and have fun. She looks forward to making this a wonderful year full of smiles, new discoveries, and special memories!

Ms. Amber is so excited to begin her 15th year of teaching preschool, and her 5th year at First School! She feels blessed to be married to a wonderful husband, and together they have three amazing daughters who keep life fun and full of adventure.
She can’t wait to be back with our MMO Monkeys this year! To laugh, learn, explore, make new friends, and create so many wonderful memories together. She knows going to be an amazing year, and can’t wait to see all that God has in store for their class

Classroom spotlight- PreK!

Mrs Kasja has taught preschool for six years teaching both 4’s and 2’s. She has also subbed for grades K-12th. She spends her evenings with her two amazing boys and has been happily married for 15 years. Her family is at the center of everything she does. When she’s not teaching, you'll usually find her reading, relaxing with a good cup of coffee, enjoying the outdoors, or looking for something fun to do. She love making memories, embracing new experiences, and finding joy in the simple things.

Ms. Karen feels blessed to have taught at First School for the past 5 years. She loves watching little hearts and minds grow each year. Every day is a new adventure, and it’s such a joy to help the students build confidence while learning about God’s love.
——When she’s not in the classroom she spends time with her family, working out, or running all around town to practices and games. They are a proud military family with two wonderful girls.

Classroom spotlight- the Little Lambs

Ms. Jackie is thrilled to teach the Little Lambs class again this year. She has over three years of experience helping little ones learn, share, and grow. Her goal is to make her classroom a safe, happy place where every child feels loved!

Ms. Zuleika (Ms. Zule) was born in Puerto Rico. She is thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. She has been a teacher assistant for two years. Her goal is to build a vibrant classroom family where they celebrate diversity and learn through play. She loves incorporating Spanish vocabulary, dance and hands on activities into their daily routine. When she is not teaching, she loves cooking, exercising, and exploring new places with her family. Shes ready to make this a wonderful year together!

Classroom spotlight!! The Brave Lions 🦁

Ms Sandy is from California. She ran a in home daycare for 15 years, which was run like a preschool. She worked 26 years as a Head TA and was Director of a before & After school for 100 pulse students K-8th. She came to us in 2024 and has been the lead teacher for 2 years.

Miss Joanne is am a graduate of FTCC with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Methodist University with a BS degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Fayetteville and Grays Creek for 21 years before retirement. This will be her 4th year at First School. She am looking forward to working with Miss Sandy and your children!
