Children are sponges, as they grow they are absorbing and taking in the world around them. This in turn means they are taking in everything you say and do.
The best thing we can do for our children is model the person we want them to become. It's okay if each day isn't perfect, because that shows that everyone is human. Showing up every day and trying our best is all we can do.

Anyone else ever fall into the Trap of Monday? Not a Case of the Mondays ( anyone?), the Trap of Monday.
“I’ll start my diet on Monday.”
“My exercise routine can restart on Monday.”
“Monday is a good day to get back on track.”
Sound familiar? That’s the Trap of Monday in action. Monday is the start of the new week. It feels like the best time to start up something new, or get back on track where we left off.
Why can’t you start on a Tuesday?
Who says you can’t begin that new diet on Thursday?
Where is the rule book that commands us to wait to make the changes that would benefit us now?!
It’s easy to put off until tomorrow what you should do today. If we procrastinate returning to our healthy habits, we usually fall farther off track. Grab the reigns today and restart your goals!
I want to challenge you to start something new on any day but Monday.
Get going on that exercise plan.
Clean up your diet.
Start over on your water goals.

Today marks the halfway mark between Thanksgiving and Christmas (not to mention all the other holidays of this season). Where has the year gone?! The holidays can be a very stressful time of year. There's so many things to get done, all of it under a pressure to ENJOY EVERYTHING. This stress can be compounded when you're trying to keep the magic alive for your kids.
Here's 3 mindfulness tips to keep you present during these potentially tough times. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, no matter how you celebrate.

Get prepared for the new year with the Jumpstart A New YOU 6 month program! It starts August 1st and will end January 2nd. You’ll be ahead of the game for 2022. Gain motivation, encouragement, and strategies to help you meet your health and wellness goals. This program will be a small group setting, so spaces are very limited. You'll get 12 online group sessions over the 6 months (one every other week), a wellness goodie kit, and opportunities for individual help. Plus a dedicated FB just for this program's participants!

It’s Saturday, so that means it’s time for self-care!
Self-care isn’t just bubble baths and manicures (although it can be if that’s what floats your boat). It can be any action to take to acknowledge yourself and your needs. It can be something super small that makes you smile for a minute, or grand and takes up the whole day.

My name is Tessa and I’m 30 years old. I’m an who’s just starting my business. A little bit about me: I have an amazingly supportive husband named Josh, a 3.5 year old son named Xander, and a 17 month old named Guinny. We also have a cat named Knox and a dog named Ludo. I started my wellness journey in 2015. I lost quite a bit of weight and started new habits, but then gained it back during my pregnancy with Xander in 2017. After having Guinny in 2020 I started over. I made a lot of progress, but I’ve been slipping recently. I’m ready to kick start this journey again! Come join me on FB!
