From Coach Caryn-

All good things come to an end.

With lots of heartache and consideration, I am leaving my post as CMU Color Guard instructor.

Between being more available for the boys and their circumstances, my approaching internship, and being present for family medical needs - it is time to strip my silk and transition out.

So many great memories over the 9 years! 💚

Ice Castles, Barnum, and Fight Song are burned into my brain forever.

Not leaving the sport but just need some space.

I have referred a few folks to step in and look forward to what the future of the program brings.

We are so excited to ‘catch up’ at homecoming!

We will have some extra equipment at the game so if you’d like to reminisce over some drop spins or see what you remember of Barnum - we are ready to spin together!

Last weekends game was all the special feels for Coach! 🥰

Band has been competing skits between the sections during game day rehearsals.

Last week guard put on a skit about their rehearsal life, including all the regular Caryn quotes! It was full of choreo repetitions, water reminders, and a bit of “more passion, more energy!” They won!

Coach also brought her special kiddo friend who turned 8 that weekend and the band sang him Happy Birthday!

Thank you all for the love. Central Band Fam, for life! 💖💖💖

This weekend we travel to Central Methodist University ( CMU) in Fayette, Mo. for the CMU Band Days 2023. Saturday October 7th

In addition to the 29 units performing on the field they also have a Street Competition plus Color Guard and Drumline indoor events.

The flyer contains ordering and viewing information.

The weather looks like a great fall day .
