Homecoming 2026! 👑🎉 What a great day for our AFJROTC cadets! A huge congratulations to Cadet Capt Cami Choate, this year’s AFJROTC Homecoming Candidate! Cami was proudly escorted by Cadet Col Christopher Cooper. Our cadets were also out in full force during the parade, leading the parade with our Color Guard, passing out candy, and supporting the local Help the Hungry Bake Sale charity event! We would like to give a special thanks to our local Farmington Missouri Army National Guard and former Cadet Hayden Fingerhut for supporting our unit with transportation during the parade. Go KNIGHTS!

🇺🇸 Oh, say can you see… our cadets proudly stepping up to serve! Over the last two days, they learned proper flag etiquette and the art of flag folding, then put their new skills to work preparing unserviceable flags collected from our local VFW and American Legion for an upcoming flag retirement ceremony.

🇺🇸 Our Color Guard is expanding! We’ve had a bunch of new cadets jump into Color Guard, and they are already looking sharp! These cadets have only had a couple of practices, but they’re picking up the skills, getting more confident, and really starting to look like a team. Honestly, they’re showing some of the sharpest skills we’ve seen in the last few years—and they’re just getting started!

C/Maj Cale Craig and C/AB Micah Lindsey represented Farmington AFJROTC at the Farmington Elks Lodge 6th Annual Tip Bone Memorial Car Show on Saturday, Sep 19, helping usher vehicles in and keep things moving. Despite the extreme heat, these two stepped up to volunteer their time in support of an event raising money for local veterans.

JROTC Recruiting in Action! Recruiting Commander C/2Lt Liam Shepard and Color Guard Commander C/Capt Bryson Menteer took the time during Club Day to share what our program is all about and encourage other students to get involved. We’re looking forward to seeing some new faces join our unit thanks to their hard work.

Marksmanship is off to a great start! We’re incredibly proud of the 30+ cadets who signed up this season! Our returning shooters kicked things off by prepping the armory and welcoming our new cadets. From there, all of our cadets completed safety training and began preparing for the season. Our returning cadets also jumped right into competition, competing in their first match of the season! With only 20 lanes, and limited equipment, narrowing down the team won’t be easy! We’re excited to see these cadets learn, grow, and support one another. We’re looking forward to a great season!

We welcomed several new cadets to our Color Guard team, and they did an outstanding job raising the flag for the first home football game of the year!

Congratulations to Col Rubiano on 27+ years of dedicated Air Force service! 🇺🇸 Today was his first official day as a civilian, so our JROTC Leadership Cadets made sure to welcome him to civilian life with a little appreciation!
Thank you, Colonel, for your service, sacrifice, and continued leadership! We’re lucky to have you on our team!

We are excited to welcome Col Chris Rubiano to our unit! Col Rubiano retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2026 after an impressive 27-year career as a Cyberspace Operations Officer. During his career, he commanded four units, completed three combat deployments, and served at 10 locations both stateside and overseas. He brings an incredible wealth of knowledge, leadership, and experience to our cadets, and we are thrilled to have him join our JROTC family. 🇺🇸

🫡Welcome Chris!

Col. Chris Rubiano joins the staff at the High School as the new JROTC Instructor. He will bring incredible energy, leadership experience, and dedication to guide, inspire, and empower our cadets and future leaders!
