Marion County FFA had the privilege to attend the 97th WV FFA State Convention this past week.
12 Members attended sessions, networked with other members across the state, competed in tractor driving state contest, participated in worskhops, and watched final rounds of multiple CDE/LDE events.
As a chapter we had 4 delegates represent our chapter and help select the 2026-2027 state officer team in the business session.
2 members represented our region in the Large Tractor Driving Contest, Liam Kennedy and Trenton Hobson. Liam Kennedy was recognized in the 1st General Session for winning the North Central Regional contest that was held in October. He then was recognized in the 3rd General Session for placing 4th in the state.
In the 4th General Session, Mr. Postlethwait was recognized for his service for serving on State Advisory Commitee.
Our 2025-2026 chapter scrapbook placed 3rd in the 5th General Session.
Friday morning students braved the rain and participated in 2 community service activities. This year as an organization we were able to help Mountaineer Food Bank pack almost 3,000 food bags. We also were able to help Cedar Lakes build 2 of 5 new archery targets.
In the 7th General Session, Arianna Garrison, Logan Martin, Dakota Myers, and Alyvia Prickett recieved their WV State FFA Degrees. We couldn't be more proud of these students and their hardwork they have put into their Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
It was also announce that, Nicole Efaw, Brooke Toothman, and Natalie Wills will receive their American Degrees in October at the 99th National FFA Convention.
