As we begin the school year, we want to remind our families of our FHS Dress Code Expectations. Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and learning-focused school environment for all students.
Students should come to school dressed in a way that supports a positive school climate and follows the expectations outlined in the FHS Parent/Student Handbook, Section 5: Dress Code.
In general:
-Clothing must provide appropriate coverage.
-Tops must fully cover the torso and meet the waistband when standing upright.
-Shorts, skirts, and dresses must adequately cover the upper thigh.
-Footwear must be worn at all times.
-Clothing, accessories, or images that are vulgar, unsafe, disruptive, drug/alcohol-related, or gang-affiliated are not permitted.
-Hats may only be worn outdoors for sun protection.
-Beanies, bandanas, hoods, and other prohibited headwear are not allowed unless approved for religious or medical reasons.
Please review the attached dress code graphics with your student for a quick visual guide. Students may be asked to change or cover clothing that does not meet school expectations.
