As Thanksgiving approaches, we are helping the WDHS Service Learning Class are collect donations for our Thanksgiving Blessing Bags to help provide families and individuals with the makings of a warm Thanksgiving meal.

If you are able to donate, we are collecting cornbread boxes, instant mashed potatoes, cake mixes and frosting, and gravy. Donations can be dropped off in the Drexler Main Office or Guidance Office from September 23rd through October 24th.
Every donation, big or small, can help make Thanksgiving a little brighter for someone in our community. Thank you for helping us spread kindness and make sure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy a special Thanksgiving meal!

Congratulations to our September Students of the Month! Each month a selected group of teachers, paras, and other staff members in the building nominate a student that they feel is showing qualities of that particular month's "theme". September's theme was "Positive Mindset". Congratulations to these students for being excellent leaders and wonderful role models to their peers!

We had a wonderful parent turnout, and thanks to your generosity, our teachers were well-fed and fueled throughout the evening! We truly appreciate the support you continue to show our staff and school. Thank you for helping make our teachers feel appreciated! 🐾❤️

📱 **Think Before You Share**

Yesterday, our 6th graders participated in an important presentation led by members of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office focused on child exploitation, inappropriate image sharing, and staying safe online.
Students learned about real trends in our area, the risks of sharing images, the use of AI to create fake or altered images, and the potential consequences of these choices.
These are serious conversations, but they are important ones. We encourage families to continue talking with their students about making safe, responsible choices online. ❤️

Thank you to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office for helping educate and protect our students!
