Greetings Adventurers!

Thanks to everyone who came to our callout meeting last night. It was great seeing so many people interested in what we do! For those who couldn’t make it, here is what we discussed:

The purpose of Outdoor Adventure Club is to create an organization that has events with a focus on the outdoors. We also aim to give students the opportunity to try new activities regarding the outdoors.
Outdoor Adventure Club activities fall into one of two categories: small events in the Fargo/Moorhead area, and full day to weekend long trips outside of Fargo/Moorhead.
We have no regular meetings, so to stay in touch we use our email list and social media (Facebook and Instagram).
There are two tiers of membership in the Outdoor Adventure Club: full member and partial member. Partial members do not have to pay an annual membership fee, but they are restricted to events within the Fargo/Moorhead area. Full members are required to pay a $15 ANNUAL fee, and are able to go on any Outdoor Adventure Club outting or trip. For the 2016-2017 academic year, this fee must be paid by October 1st.
Attendance of activities is not mandatory. All trips are come as you please!
If you have an idea for a trip or activity, please let us know!

We also discussed our first trip, which will be a weekend in ITASCA STATE PARK from FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23RD to SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH. Itasca offers a variety of different activities, including camping, hiking, and programs offered by the Park Service. They also offer canoe, kayak, and other rentals for those interested.

If you are interested in the going on this trip, please email us by THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16. Since we don’t want this to get too out of hand, we are limiting attendance to the first 24 people who complete BOTH of the following:

Complete the CSO student field trip informed consent form on BlackBoard.
Email us confirming your desire to go.

Those wanting to go on this trip will also have to attend a meeting NEXT TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH at 6:30 in the HIDATSA ROOM of the MU. We will be going over pack lists, food lists, and collecting a $10 down payment for the trip. This will go towards buying food and reserving campsites.

As always, if you have any questions email us or contact us on our Facebook(https://www.facebook.com/ndsuoutdooradventure/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel) page!

Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming adventures!
