🌷Fall Bulbs - It’s time to get those fall bulbs planted! These are bulbs that you plant in the fall, and they’ll bloom in the spring. Bury them pointy side up a little deeper than the instructions say (extra insulation for our cold winters!) and give them a few good waterings before the ground freezes. We recommend using some Bulb-tone when planting to help your plants flourish when roots start to grow in the spring.

🌱Organic Fertilizer - Generally speaking, you should fertilize your lawns, shrubs, gardens, etc a couple times a year. Only done it once this year? Don’t worry, there’s still time in the season! We recommend Tree-tone for fruit trees, Holly-tone for blueberry bushes, and Plant-tone for a variety of other plants or your lawn.

🌱Compost - Now’s the time to compost your gardens! We recommend Bumper Crop. Put a 1-2” layer on your perennial or vegetable gardens to set you up for success in the spring.

Mike’s Must Haves

Mums - We grow all of our mums right here in Skillin’s country, in a variety of sizes and colors. They’ll flower for weeks, and are a great way to brighten up your garden or porch.

Anenome - This beautiful perennial blooms well into the fall, and is very reliable in growing back. It thrives in both partial and full fall sun, making it an easy addition to your garden.

Boxwood Shrub - These shrubs have come a long way and are now more hardy than ever. They’re a great choice for planting around your foundation or alongside your porch, adding texture, greenery, and year-round interest to your yard. Plus, deer don’t like them!
