Mahjong Collective

10/10/2026

We have lots of new faces around here, so let me introduce myself! 🀄️💕
I’m Lynn Cooper, founder of Mahjong Collective in Fairhope, Alabama!
I started Mahjong Collective in May 2024 with a simple goal: bringing people together through a shared love of American Mahjong.
What started with teaching the game has grown into a community of women from across the country joining us for lessons, leagues, social events, and luxury Mahjong retreats! 💕
Just last week at our sold-out 30A retreat, 30 of our 44 guests were returning attendees! The friendships, laughter, reunion hugs, and excitement around the tables remind me why I LOVE what I do.
Yes, we’re here to help you become a stronger Mahjong player, but it’s SO much more than the game. It’s about finding your people around the table! 💕
And we have so much excitement ahead!

Whether you’re brand new or have been here since day one, I’m SO glad you’re here!
Come with friends or come solo. There’s always a seat for you at our table. 💕

Someone says “Mahjong!” and everyone starts tossing in their tiles. But wait! 🀄
Wait for the winner to arrange their hand in card order, with a little space between each grouping, so everyone can verify it. Keep your own tiles on your rack until the hand is checked.
If the call was made in error, play may continue, and you don’t want to be stuck with a dead hand.

Mahjong & Mindfulness at Miraval Austin
February 1–4, 2027

Picture three nights at one of the country’s most celebrated wellness resorts, tucked into the Texas Hill Country above Lake Travis. Mornings are yours for yoga, hikes, and spa treatments. Afternoons bring us together at the Mahjong table. Every meal is taken care of, and there’s even resort credit to spend on something just for you.

It’s the kind of trip you’ll talk about for years, with the game we love and friends around every table.

Spaces are limited.

Comment MIRAVAL and I’ll send you all the details and the registration link.
