“There’s still more to be done…” -Adam Marashio

Please join us in congratulating Adam Marashio, FHS Media Arts Senior, on receiving a National Student Production Award!

This week, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced Adam Marashio’s 2023 Video essay “What Next?” as a recipient of this year’s national awards. The video essay explores Adam’s filmmaking future after high school.

“I want to use this award as a launching point for bigger and better things in the film industry, locally or nationally, said Marashio, who is preparing for his final year at Fairhaven High School.

“ I never had any doubts about Adam’s talent.” Mr. Fernandes, Media Arts Teacher, added, “I don’t want students to work just for accolades. However, having those accolades is nice, and Adam deserves every accolade he gets because the film was that good. “

This award is Fairhaven High School’s fourth National Production Award, Congrats Adam!

October is National Principals Appreciation Month!

Join us in celebrating Fairhaven’s Principals, who lead the district through Massachusetts’ first-ever district-wide accreditation process from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

This week, school leaders across New England are visiting Fairhaven High School, Elizabeth Hastings Middle School, Leroy Wood Elementary School, and East Fairhaven Elementary School.

They will meet with students and staff and observe student learning. They will then complete a report and send it to the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, potentially deeming Fairhaven Public Schools the first in Massachusetts to receive district-wide accreditation.
