Jay (in his tie-dyed apron) busy frying peppers, a delicious traditional side dish from Calabria, Italy, and we’re making spaghetti sauce, plus grape jam from my one Concord grapevine that’s 45 years old. Even though the birds ate most of the grapes this year, they left a few for me. Thanks to Cristee for helping me make the jam!
We boiled the grapes for 10 minutes, and then later after we had everything in jars, I read that we need to boil it one minute more per thousand foot elevation, so 5 more minutes. Luckily it still jelled but next time we will boil it longer at 5300 foot elevation.
