It takes a village to raise a roboticist! ๐ ๏ธโค๏ธ
We had an unforgettable week at the Solano Community College Vacaville campus for our first free GIRL (Girl in Robotics Leadership) camp of the summer. Thanks to our partnership with UC Davis C-STEM, middle and high schoolers from all over Solano County spent the week learning, creating, and leading in the world of robotics.
The best part? Seeing it all come together. ๐ฅฐ Swipe to see photos from our culmination event, where families and community partners showed up in full force to support these students as they showcased their innovative projects and took home well-deserved awards.
Thank you to everyone who made this week a massive success, especially our brilliant campers! ๐คโจ

Recently more than 110 education, healthcare, behavioral health, public safety, elected officials and community leaders gathered at Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) for the Solano Education Breakfast Forum: Mental Health Supports for Students and School Safety.
The forum highlighted the importance of strengthening coordinated systems of support for students and families through collaboration across schools, healthcare, behavioral health, law enforcement and community partners. Discussions included student mental health trends, school based mobile crisis response efforts, behavioral threat assessment approaches, and the importance of prevention, early intervention and connection.
This was an important first step in building greater awareness around what students and families need while continuing conversations about long term sustainability, strengthening systems of care, and enhancing a coordinated network of supports across Solano County that centers student needs.
Weโre Better Together.
