👀 WHAT IS THAT?!
Can you guess what those squiggly things are? 🤔

They’re tapioca strips! And yes—you can soak them in water and turn them into a surprisingly fun sensory material. 😍

We took what some might call “glorified water play” 😂 and made it a multi-sensory play experience with:
🧊 Ice
🟢 Pompoms
🍜 Vermicelli noodles
〰️ Tapioca strips
💦 And plenty of water!

Different textures, temperatures, movement, colors, and ways to explore = so many opportunities for sensory input and open-ended play.

POV: You want a dinosaur birthday cake… but you’re NOT a cake decorator 😂🦖🎂

Wegmans sheet cake (online order chocolate frosting + green piping)
💙 Blue Jello + Sprinkles
🦕 Target dinosaur figures

…and BOOM. A dino birthday cake that looked like I spent way more time on it than I actually did 😂

Total hit. Easy peasy. And honestly? The kids cared WAY more about the dinosaurs than perfect frosting anyway. 🥹🦖

✨ Make a prop with me for circle time!

One of our favorite simple activities: Feed the Animal! 🐒🦁

Little ones LOVE feeding an animal (or filling something up!) — and it’s secretly working those fine motor skills, too. 👋

Picking up pom-poms + aiming for that little round hole = fine motor practice + hand-eye coordination + lots of fun.

✂️ A little cutting, cutting, cutting… and laminating if you want (totally optional!) and you’ve got a reusable “Feed the ___” prop for your little ones.

These monkeys & lions were perfect for our Jungle Week! 🌿🦁

We’ve also made:
🐧 Penguins
🐿️ Squirrels
🌷 Flower pots

…and every single one has been a hit!

What looks like simple play is actually powerful learning. 🌿✨

Our StoryPlay + Sensory class (ages 12–36 mo) is thoughtfully designed around a new weekly theme, bringing stories, songs, movement, and sensory-rich invitations to life.

During these early years, your child's brain is making millions of connections every day. As they scoop, pour, squish, explore, and create, they're naturally developing:
✨ Language and communication
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Problem-solving
✨ Sensory processing
✨ Imagination and creativity

Just as importantly, they're learning alongside their peers—practicing turn-taking, sharing, observing others, and building friendships in a warm, welcoming environment.

There’s something so special about watching your parents become grandparents. 🤍

This spring and summer, our home felt a little fuller — filled with family meals, little adventures, and moments we know our children will remember.

Living away from family isn’t always easy. There are so many times you wish the people you love could simply be around the corner for the everyday moments.

But these visits reminded me of something important: a village doesn’t always have to be nearby to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s built through the people who show up, the relationships we nurture, and the connections that make this season of life feel a little less lonely.
