STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Amy Fast | 1st Grade

We are excited to shine the spotlight on Amy Fast, our 1st Grade teacher and a valued member of the Bulldog family!

Amy loves getting to watch her students learn, grow, and build confidence each day. She works hard to create a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. And as any elementary teacher knows, sometimes the biggest moments of growth come in the little victories along the way!

One of Amy’s favorite parts of teaching is celebrating those little successes with her students and making memories together. Those everyday moments—when a student finally understands something, takes a risk, or realizes just how much they are capable of—are what make teaching so special.

Outside of school, Amy is wife to David and mom to Avery, a sophomore, Aspyn, a 7th grader, and their late son, Dayne. Their family also includes Oaklee, a mini Aussie, and several farm cats!

Amy, thank you for creating a classroom where our youngest Bulldogs feel cared for, encouraged, and confident in their ability to learn. We are proud to have you as part of the Fairfax family and grateful for the heart you bring to 1st Grade each day!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Andrea Gronquist | Payroll & Benefits Administrator

We are excited to introduce Andrea Gronquist, our Payroll and Benefits Administrator!

While much of Andrea’s work happens behind the scenes, it plays an important role in keeping our district running smoothly. Andrea has always enjoyed the details and organization that come with payroll and the opportunity to support a school district in ways that may not always be seen but are certainly appreciated!

Since joining Fairfax R-3, Andrea has especially enjoyed getting to know the people who make up our school community. She shared how much she appreciates the warm welcome she has received and how happy she is to be part of the team.

Andrea, thank you for the work you do behind the scenes to help take care of our staff and keep things moving. We are grateful to have you as part of the Bulldog family and look forward to getting to know you even better!
