GIVE (Growth and Inspiration through Volunteering and Education)
GIVE is a youth-led 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free tutoring opportunities with the mission to develop excellence in leadership and education.
1. Free Tutoring Program serving over 1000 students, parents and volunteers at 18 centers across Northern Virginia
2. Publication of a children’s book, "Being Different is What Makes Us Special!", addressing social issues such as tolerance, diversity and bullying, developed into a television segment in conjunction with Fairfax County Public Schools

Meet the Workshops committee consisting of Reem, Angie, Shreya Kurdukar, Esha Pathi, Danielle Castro, Jenny Tan, Esha Saini, Aliah Showkatian! The Workshop committee created different workshops to be implemented in the school year at various locations, and also invited guest speakers and collaborated with other organizations to put together workshops as well.
Meet the Database committee! Consisting of Alex Catacora, Kidus Asmare Ayele, Nikki Prabhu and Executive Director DJ, they looked for different curriculum materials online to expand the resources available to the students participating in our tutoring program. The materials they accumulated can be seen in the Database tab on our new and improved website, www.giveyouth.org!
Our team is so proud to announce that GIVE’s new and improved website is finally live!! New features of our website include: a database of worksheets and other enrichment resources for students, a more easy-to-navigate tutoring page, and other formatting improvements to make our website more user friendly. Meet the Outreach committee! Executive Directors Reem and Angie and committee members Melody Llinas, Sarah Kim and Yeonwoo Kim worked on expanding the network of centers GIVE is involved in and getting the word out about GIVE. Through contacting schools, churches, and creating flyers, the Outreach committee spread the impact of GIVE to more than just our local libraries!

GIVE is happy to announce its new tutoring center at the Sherwood Regional Library in Alexandria, VA!! will take place every Saturday from 2:30-4:30, so if you’re looking for a way to get involved in your community or get tutored in a subject that may be tough for you, this might be your shot!

Meet the Core Team members of the book drive and donation committee! Angie, Dounia Ansary, Mahesh Menon, and Aditi Jain organized and collected SAT/ACT/AP books and backpacks for students without appropriate resources all throughout the region.
If you would like to help out, please drop by any prep books or lightly used backpacks at James Lee Community Center and Martha Washington Library. Donations are welcome by August 24th!!

With the help of our amazing volunteers and support of our community centers, GIVE has set-up two more locations to donate to our SAT/ACT/AP prep book and backpack drives! If you have any backpacks in new condition or books that have been lightly used, please consider donating them so that another student around the area can put them to use! Our two new locations are at the James Lee Community Center (first pic) and Martha Washington Library (second pic). Please drop off any donations by August 24th!!
GIVE has set up a donation box for SAT, ACT, and AP prep-books at the Chantilly Library! You can find the donation box near the library entrance - stop by anytime before August 24th to drop off any donations!

Calling all high school students! Now's the time to apply for GIVE's annual Executive Team and Summer Core Team!
As an Executive Director, you will be heading all of GIVE, which means planning and keeping track of all the Tutoring Centers, organizing and leading Core Team, running GIVE projects such as the AP/SAT book drive, as well as maintaining day-to-day organizational tasks.
However, you can also apply to be a part of GIVE's Core Team! Every year, Core team aims to analyze GIVE's performance in the past year and works to improve and expand the organization. Core team is also an opportunity for you to work with and make a difference in a youth-run organization, learning along the way different skills that go into keeping a successful organization going and growing.
