Hi ATCA Youth Leaders and Happy Tuesday!
Today, May 31rst, is World No To***co Day. Around the world, to***co control advocates are making strides to end the epidemic of to***co use. Your work as youth advocates has the GREATEST IMPACT towards these goals, but as always, there is more to be done! Help us out this summer by writing a letter of support, getting outside and being active, or by helping other youth quit using to***co! For more information and to learn more, email [email protected] or cal (907) 891-7453.
Hi ATCA Youth Leaders! Happy May and a great start to the summer season. We have lots of cool things to work on, including a table for the Intertribal Powwow, a video project during the World Eskimo Indian Olympics, and a chance to speak with the Tanana Valley Fair Board about a smoke free Interior fair! If you are interested in any of these projects, don't hesitate to reach out! To learn more, email me at [email protected] or call (907) 891-7453. Hope to see you there!

Students at the statewide ATCA Youth leaders training practice their marketing skills by creating an idea for a bubble gum add they think would be relevant to elders in rural Alaska. Funny!

ATCA youth across the state took part in this national day of to***co prevention and advocacy. Students in Fairbanks participated by displaying the shirts they decorated to "Air Out Big To***co's Dirty Laundry"

To***co causes 1 in 5 deaths in the United States and contributes to the number 1 cancer killer. If we don't do something now, 18,000 youth in Alaska who are alive today will die prematurely from smoking related causes. To***co steals- let's work together to change that.
TO***CO STEALS To***co steals the most important moments in life. Don’t miss another one. You can quit. We can help. Call 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
