🔥 See what UAF sculpture professor Wendy Ernst Croskrey has been working on at tonight's First Friday opening reception at the Bear Gallery!

Wendy's exhibition, Anthropogenic Traces, opens alongside Owen Tucker's System Status at the Bear Gallery. Through sculpture and found materials gathered from landscapes shaped by human activity, Wendy's work explores memory, place, and our lasting impact on the environment.

Stop by between 5-7 p.m. to support Wendy and experience two thought-provoking exhibitions.

Camille Russell-Lew was just named a National Gold Medalist by the Scholastic Awards (“the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens”) and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, for her final piece while in a summer Beginning Drawing studio arts course here at the UAF Art Department.

Her self-portrait “Outlet” is a pen + ink piece done in 2024 while she was a student at West Valley High School. After winning the Gold Key/American Visions Award for the region, her work advanced to the final level and is now on display at Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she will be presented with the official award during a ceremony in June – stay tuned for more images, and congratulations to Camille!
