Alaska, we have two challenges....

First, representatives of government do not want to put in writing their positions.
Second, it seems most elected officials support the use of a Binding Caucus.

Allow me to articulate. The Binding Caucus Rule undermines our representative form of government. We are a Republican form of government which means we are EQUALLY represented. This is precisely why the state of Alaska is divided into voting districts based on population.

When we allow a small majority of government officials to reform our methods of representation such as the Binding Caucus Rule, this is accepting "Central Planning" which is the form of government Communist countries employ.

Alaska happens to be the only state in the nation which employs a "Binding Caucus." We are, in effect handing over the financial responsibility of Alaska to a select few. How has that been working out for us?

It is time all citizens rise up and recognize the Binding Caucus Rule for what it is and demand our Representative government get back to the business of representing us, not controlling the financial outcome from a Central Committee. Ask your representatives if they support a Binding Caucus, and if they do, consider exchanging them for a legislator who understands "representative government"
