On Monday the Sorors of Psi Chi Zeta, showed up in support of CPT Angel Jones, the chapter’s secretary, to witness her Change of Command. CPT Jones was the Commander for HHC U.S. Army Garrison Alaska for the last three years and today, in a time honored tradition, gave command to another commander, as she sets off to her new duty station.

CPT Jones will be missed by the soldiers, family members and staff of USAG Alaska, but mostly by her Chapter. We wish her the best of luck at her new command and CPT Jones, we thank you for your service!

Honoring our charter day by celebrating the five phenomenal women who laid our chapter’s foundation. Kimrah Brotherson, Patricia Coleman, Shawanna Givens, Lona Marioneaux-Ibanitoru, and Tia Perez. Their vision and dedication continue to inspire us as we carry the torch, building on their legacy and continuing the work of service, scholarship, sisterhood, and finer womanhood in Alaska’s Interior.

A moment 15 years in the making 🕊️

Yesterday, Psi Chi Zeta proudly welcomed our newest sisters: Joy Garnett-Young, Brandy Phipps, and Marissa “Ritz” Winter. This marks the first new member induction since our chapter was chartered, making it a truly historic and unforgettable day for us all.
We are beyond grateful to our State Director for her unwavering support, guidance, and for traveling all the way from Seattle to Fairbanks to stand beside us. This milestone would not have been possible without her dedication to our chapter.

This weekend, we celebrated Founders’ Day by giving back to our community and strengthening our sisterhood, just as our five Illustrious PearlZ envisioned. Our chapter donated 866 diapers and 2184 wipes to the Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis Shelter. Thank you to everyone who donated and showed up in service! Sisterhood and service, no better way to celebrate 106 years of Zeta 💙
