Aloha everyone,
Just a note to let you know, if you didn’t already know, that Al Nash, our photography teacher and touch football girls coach, track coach, and wasn’t he also the girls basketball coach has been paralyzed for 19 long years. He has made the best of those years which were extremely difficult by coaching basketball and track. His wife Flora had care givers coming in at least 8 hours a day while she worked. She is the vice principal for Moanalua High School. She called recently to let us know that Al is in his last phase of life. I’m not sure who all was close with him so I’m writing to everyone. I will include Flora Nash’s email address and mailing address so that you may send a note so she can read to him your special thoughts before he leaves. He hasn’t had anything to eat or drink for about 10 days now. He sleeps a lot. Flora said that she would prefer that we don’t all run up to see him in person. It would be too hard on her as she feels she would cry and she doesn’t to cry in front of him. I think I will send him some photos for her to show him. Best wishes to all.
