I work closely with some incredible leaders and one of the most powerful arenas we dive into is forgiveness. Over time, many of us have become masters at convincing ourselves it doesn’t matter, or that we have moved on. Lasting transformation is born from choosing to acknowledge the pain. True forgiveness does not need the other, it is deeply and intimately a gift we give ourselves.

Dog Wisdom

My 12 year old lab, Jameson, teaches me how to be better human every day. His emotional intelligence of when I am sad, joyful or worked up is off the charts. He is fiercely present, deeply curious. Nobody in the world is more important to him when I walk through our door.

His enjoyment of a simple walk in the woods reminds me to slow down and notice the spring’s awakening right before our eyes. A leader’s path is unique, grateful to share mine with this wise companion.

There is not one straight way to navigate our paths. At times, we need to be in it on our own because it’s our deep soul work. Sometimes we need to lean hard on others, our friends, a coach or a person we never would have expected to be a light in the fog. In the end, choosing to stay and grow is enough.
