Hi Learning Ladder families! ❤️ As we look forward to Labor Day weekend, a large majority of our families have let us know they'll be keeping their kiddos home early to travel or celebrate.
Because of this very low expected attendance, we have decided to close on Friday, September 4th, in addition to our regular holiday closure on Monday, September 7th.
We wanted to share this early so you have plenty of time to plan your weekend. We hope this gives our wonderful families and hard-working staff some sweet extra time together! Normal hours resume Tuesday, September 8th. Thank you so much for your amazing support and partnership! Reach out if you have any questions. 😊

Today our friends got to pick out their very own books and spend some special time reading independently! 🥰📖

We love watching them explore stories, look through the pictures, recognize words, and use their imaginations as they build those early literacy skills. 💕🌟

Every book they choose is another step toward becoming confident, lifelong readers! Our little learners are growing, learning, and doing BIG things! 🥹📚💙

Our little learners had fun working on their Letter A worksheets today! 💛 They practiced tracing uppercase and lowercase A, identifying the letter, and building those early writing skills. 📝✨

Our favorite neighborhood Spider-Man made a special appearance at Learning Ladder this morning! 😂🕷️

but unfortunately, Spider-Man has a secret identity to protect! 🤫😂 Have your little one to tell you which friend this is and to whisper it as we have to keep this a secret!!!!!

All we can say is… one of our Little Learners may have been feeling extra super today! 🦸‍♂️❤️

Today our Little Learners practiced tracing and identifying circles! 🔵✏️

This hands-on activity helped strengthen so many important developmental skills, including:

✏️ Fine motor skills & pencil control
👀 Hand-eye coordination
🧠 Shape recognition
⭕ Identifying and naming a circle
🖐️ Pre-writing skills
🎯 Focus, concentration & following directions

Our kiddos are learning that a circle is round and has no corners, while building the skills they need for future writing and early math success! 📚✨

🍎❤️ A is for APPLE! ❤️🍎

Our Little Learners had so much fun getting hands-on with our color of the week: RED! 🔴 Today, they turned red paper into their very own apples while learning all about the letter A and what it stands for APPLE! 🍎

This activity was packed with learning and developmental skills, including:

✂️ Fine motor skills through tearing, cutting, gluing, and creating
🖐️ Hand-eye coordination and grasp development
🧠 Cognitive development through identifying colors, letters, and parts of an apple
🗣️ Language development as we talked about the letter A and new vocabulary
🍎 Science exploration as we learned about the stem, skin, and different parts of an apple
🎨 Creativity and self-expression through our apple artwork
👀 Color recognition as we focused on RED
🔤 Letter recognition and phonics with A is for Apple

We love turning everyday learning into fun, hands-on experiences! Our Little Learners are learning, creating, and building important developmental skills all at the same time! ❤️🍎
