This effort will encourage musicians around campus to share their music and bring the community at Northwestern closer together through music. We also wish to encourage collaboration between artists to lead to further musical developments. Shows will have open mic timeslots in which students may perform any genre of music they choose. This will encourage student interaction and allow for many oppo
rtunities for self-expression through music while introducing a diverse range of genres. During these shows students will be encouraged to come and go as they please. Additionally, we wish to encourage other musical performance groups throughout campus to share their music and collaborate with one another. This will tie all groups with common musical interest together as the community becomes more aware of them. In addition, we will be looking for students who are interested in helping promote our onstage talent through music production. We are confident that through collaborative efforts within our group we will be able to share our campus talents not only with Northwestern but also around the greater community around the world. We will also aim to hold an annual showcase for some of our best talents. Our events aim to inspire musicians and musical clubs to continue pursuing and sharing their art, promote collaboration in music, promote music in general and expose audiences to many types of music while bringing the community closer together.
