Thank you. For every message, every comment, every prayer, every thoughtful gift, every “I’m thinking of you.” I have felt your love and support like a big hug. I will never forget it.
Losing my mom so suddenly has cracked my heart wide open, of course. Many of you may not know that I lost my dad in a similar sudden fashion 13 years ago. So I have been through this unexpected grief process once before.
It is such a reminder of how fragile life really is and how important it is to show up in your life. Both of my parents taught me by example that you keep showing up: for your people, for your purpose, for the moments that matter.
So many of you may have seen that, a couple of weeks ago, I was about to announce the details for my event on the autumn equinox. If this is something that you are interested in, or if you are one of the ones that already signed up through my email list, I want you to know that it is still happening.
The Grounded Sanctuary, my Autumn Equinox half-day retreat, will be held on September 22. If anything, I hold its purpose even more deeply now than when I first dreamed it up.
The equinox is nature’s own turning point.
A season of gathering, of harvesting, of releasing what it’s time to let go of, and then, most importantly, of coming home to ourselves.
It’s also a moment of stillness and balance and noticing the gift of equal parts of light and dark. It’s a pause before we start to move more inwards.
I need that connection and medicine as much as anyone. And I would be honored to hold that space with you.
I’ll be sharing all the details here tomorrow. Until then, thank you for supporting me and loving me through this. It has meant everything.
With gratitude and a tender heart,
Kristin
