Phi Mu Alpha - Iota Chapter

Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped make our Memorial Day Barbecue a success! We raised $250 for Chicago HOPES for Kids and had a blast!!

Our chapter had an eventful weekend. Starting with our Mills Music Mission (which unfortunately couldn't happen in person this quarter), we recorded some classic songs along with our Probationary members. The videos of our singing will be sent out to local hospitals and nursing homes.

The next day, we hosted our annual Super Bowl party where we raised $382 in donations to the People's Music School of Chicago and had a great time watching the game. Thanks to everyone who attended!

Our Fall Quarter Recital is this Thursday 12/2 at 6:00 PM at Lutkin Hall! All members of the community are welcome, and admission is free.

Audience members must wear masks at all times and non-Northwestern students will be required to provide proof of vaccination. Please note that some performers will have to remove their masks while playing an instrument but otherwise all performers will be masked both on and off stage.

We hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it we’ll try to have both a livestream on Facebook for the event as well as a recording after the fact.

Over the Halloween weekend, we held a pumpkin carving session at the house and a Halloween themed Sunday Night Dinner - here are some highlights! Check out some of our creative pumpkin designs, which are displayed outside our house! 🎃

We are happy to announce we are holding a fundraiser for Chicago HOPES for Kids, an organization that provides school supplies and academic support to children in need in the Chicago area. We will be accepting donations through our Venmo: (be sure to mention "Chicago HOPES" in your donation message). Also, we will be setting up a box outside our house next week to accept supplies for donation. Look out for more updates about this great cause!

Please consider supporting the brothers of the Xi Mu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha as they host a 24-hour charity gaming livestream this weekend in support of Child's Play, a charity that provides toys and games to child welfare facilities around the world.

It is with both pride and pleasure that we welcome Brother Morpheus Tube Man to the Iota Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

"Iota, along with the other members of the Interfraternity Council at Northwestern University, was challenged by the organizers of Dillo Day to match their total donations of $1800. Along with a donation to the Equal Justice Initiative, we hope to donate $450 to both the Black American Music Association and the Black Youth Project."
