If your kiddos are as obsessed with slime and squishies right now as ours were this year, you're going to love this one. Earlier this year, at our Right At School program at Del Aire Elementary in the Wiseburn Unified School District, we invited families to join their kiddos and get hands-on (literally!) mixing up their own batches of glittery, gooey, one-of-a-kind slime during our afterschool program—and it was an instant hit.
Slime-making is easy to recreate at home, and won't break the bank! All you need is Elmer’s glue, shaving cream, contact solution, baking soda, and a little food coloring to get the squishing started. It's a great rainy-day activity, or a fun way to sneak in some science (measuring, mixing, predicting texture) without anyone noticing it's "learning."
This family favorite gets a permanent spot in our activity rotation. 🧪💜
