The Northwestern University Public Interest Program is a one-year fellowship that helps train a new generation of leaders for social change through paid public interest work, professional development seminars, and mentorship opportunities with Northwestern alumni. NUPIP is designed to introduce young alumni to organizations whose missions are to create systemic social change, while enabling these organizations to capitalize on the Fellows' experience, intelligence, and work ethic.

“I wanted to participate in NUPIP because I knew I wanted to go into a public interest job but loved the idea of being connected with a whole group of other fellows and a mentorship program throughout my first year out of college," said Ari Farmer, an NUPIP Fellow at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago.

Four of our current fellows are Northwestern University School of Education and Social Policy alums - read more about them here.
