Forever Young Memorial 5K

Forever Young Memorial 5K Second Annual Forever Young Memorial 5K is set for September 21, 2013 in Evansdale. Check-back from time to time for updates.

The Forever Young Memorial 5K event is in honor of Lindsay Nichols and Kelsey Lee. Lindsay was the victim of a domestic abuse homicide on March 21, 2012 and Kelsey passed on December 31, 2011 after a courageous seven year battle with cancer. The girls were friends and classmates of Waterloo East High School and graduated in 2008. All proceeds from the event will be used to establish 2 scholarships

for students pursing secondary education in a Health Science field. The scholarships will be awarded annually in May of each year.

Due to the Corona Virus and unknown how a resurgence will affect our area, the Forever Young Memorial Committee has decided not to hold our annual 5K this year. We have had wonderful support from individuals and businesses in our Community in the past. But due to many closures because of the virus, we are not comfortable asking for your support of the event this year. We will have a selection of tshirts and sweatshirts for order. Information will be posted on this site once the design is finalized. Thank you all for your past support and we look forward to seeing you in September 2021.
