Dale Lakey 3/24/1980-8/7/2026

Hello fellow classmates. I do not want to make this post. Yet, here I am.

I found out this morning, via social media, that our classmate, with a smile ALWAYS on his face, Dale Lakey has left this Earth unexpectedly.

Dale & I lived in the same subdivision. When we were younger, he wasn’t the most talkative- but dang he was HILARIOUS when he did have something to say.

I’m posting his obituary (which includes service info- but the services were yesterday) for all to read & for those who wish to aid his wife & daughters.

Good even EHS Class of ‘98 Followers! This lady is a special one! If you attended Geggie Elementary, you may remember Mrs. Trudy Schmidlap!

Well, one of our favorite retired 5th Grade teachers is having a birthday very soon (I won’t post which one)! A friend of hers reached out to me to request her students (parents too) & coworkers to write something you remember about her class or how she made a difference in your life!

Messages to Mrs. Schmidlap, as well as pics you may want to include, may be sent via fb messenger or to the email attached to this alumni account. The sooner the better on getting them in; her birthday is soon! Her friend is happy to get her the messages at any time!

Hello Classmates!
I’d like to share the loss of the spouse of our classmate, Linda Buder Arledge. David was an unexpected loss and leaves Linda with their 4, school aged children. Her two oldest play Eureka Ice Hockey.
