Just remember—parent engagement still counts.

It counts when the conversation is only 5 minutes.

It counts when the parent asks a question.

It counts when they try something once.

It counts when they finally understand why you’re asking them to do something.

It counts when they don’t do the home program perfectly.

It counts when you help a parent feel more confident instead of more overwhelmed.

Stop looking for perfect parent engagement.

Many therapists believe parent engagement means the parent attended the session.
