Lakeside Families,

To help create more opportunities for families to be involved, the PTO will begin opening up Classroom Mom positions on a rotating basis. Moving forward, these roles will be offered in two-year terms, allowing more parents the chance to participate and support our classrooms.

Classroom Moms play an important role in supporting both teachers and families. Expectations for the role include but are not limited too: attending PTO meetings, volunteering at events such as the Fall Festival and Christmas fun day, communicating with the class and sharing information in a timely manner, organizing and delegating class parties, coordinating volunteer opportunities (filling the role if no volunteers are secured) and serving as a liaison between the teacher and the class. Upper school responsibilities also include Homecoming, prom, and other class activities.

If this opportunity feels like a good fit for you, and you are able to take on these responsibilities, we encourage you to submit your name for consideration. Please email email [email protected] by July 24th if you’re interested in supporting your child’s class in this way. Current Room Moms can still submit their request for the role for this coming year. Please include your name, children’s names, and grades for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are so grateful for the time, care, and dedication our current Classroom Moms have given, and we look forward to continuing to build a strong, supportive school family together.

Our chiefs enjoyed their snow cones on this last Friday of the school year! We loved seeing all of their smiling faces! We will miss them over the summer but have so many fun things planned for next year!
