WHY WE FUNDRAISE: HBCU FALL COLLEGE TOUR 🧡🍂

This November, we’re taking our students beyond the classroom and into the HBCU experience.

From November 1st–4th, students will visit Norfolk State, Hampton, Howard, Morgan State, and Coppin State University—creating opportunities to see themselves on these campuses, connect with college communities, and imagine what’s possible for their future.

WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS ❤️

Every donation helps make this experience possible by supporting:

🎓 College exposure
🚌 Transportation
🏨 Hotel accommodations
🍽️ Meals
🤝 Mentorship & guidance
🌱 Personal growth and leadership

For some students, a college tour is more than a trip—it can be the moment they realize:

“I belong here.”

We believe exposure creates possibilities, mentorship creates direction, and opportunity can change a life.

Our goal is to give students an experience they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience.

🙏 HELP US GET THEM THERE

Whether you can give $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can, your contribution helps put a student one step closer to seeing their future.

Invest in a student. Invest in their future. Invest in HBCU access.

📚 Dreams + Mentorship = Success

MENTORSHIP • BROTHERHOOD • ACCOUNTABILITY

Today, we showed up together for the SEL Family Run whether it was the 1-mile walk or the 5K run, it was about more than just crossing the finish line.

It was about brotherhood, accountability, and being our best selves.

Before we ask the young men we mentor to challenge themselves, take care of themselves, and push beyond their comfort zones, we have to hold ourselves to those same standards.

Mentorship starts with example.

We show them what it looks like to:
• Show up
• Stay committed
• Take accountability
• Push through challenges
• Support one another
• Keep growing

We don’t just tell our kids to be their best selves we work on becoming our best selves right alongside them.

The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is progress.

Mentors:
George Wilson
Ronn Thompson

Brotherhood. Accountability. Growth. Mentorship.

HISTORY. LEGACY. EXCELLENCE.

CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY

Before Clark Atlanta University became the powerhouse we know today, two historic institutions paved the way.

Clark Atlanta University was officially formed in 1988 through the consolidation of Clark College and Atlanta University.

🏛️ Atlanta University, founded in 1865, holds a historic place as one of the nation’s oldest graduate institutions serving African Americans.

📚 Clark College, founded in 1869, was established to provide educational opportunities for formerly enslaved African Americans during Reconstruction.

Together, these two legacies created Clark Atlanta University — the first historically Black institution formed by the consolidation of two existing HBCUs.

Today, CAU stands proudly in Atlanta’s historic Atlanta University Center, continuing a tradition of producing scholars, leaders, innovators, activists, entrepreneurs, and game changers.

From generations of Black excellence to the next generation of Panthers…

The legacy continues. 🐾

THE HISTORY OF HOWARD UNIVERSITY

Founded in 1867 in Washington, D.C., Howard University stands as one of the most prestigious and influential Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the world. Established shortly after the Civil War, Howard was created with a mission to provide educational opportunities for formerly enslaved people and African Americans.

Named after Civil War hero and Freedmen’s Bureau commissioner General Oliver O. Howard, the university quickly became a center for Black excellence, leadership, activism, medicine, law, education, and culture.

Throughout history, Howard University has produced generations of trailblazers who have changed America and the world. From civil rights leaders and activists to doctors, lawyers, artists, entrepreneurs, politicians, and innovators, Howard’s legacy continues to make an undeniable impact.

Known affectionately as “The Mecca,” Howard represents more than a university—it represents Black excellence, culture, opportunity, resilience, and legacy.

From the classrooms to the world stage, Bison continue to carry a tradition of leadership and greatness.
