It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beatrice Cruz Cranford, who went home to be with the Lord on April 2nd, 2026, at the age of 83.
Beatrice was born on January 12th, 1943, in Turkey, Texas. She was a first-generation college graduate and a Registered Nurse who carried herself with strength, determination, and grace throughout her life. She later pursued her passion for beauty and skincare, studying to become an esthetician in Paris, and went on to found Bea Cranford Cosmetic, building it into a million-dollar business.
Alongside her former husband, Charles Cranford, she also co-owned and contributed to the success of multiple businesses.
But beyond her accomplishments, Beatrice will be remembered most for who she was to the people around her.

She was a devoted partner to Larry Milford, a loving mother to Carlos Cranford and his wife Terra, and Carla Glassey and her husband Tracy, and a proud and deeply cherished grandmother to Christjan, Kodi, Cass, Hunter, Brady, Timothy, Terris, Kaidyn, Terrina, Faith, and Olivia. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Kairyn, Everly, Coen, Linkoln, and Maxwell, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her siblings Steve Cruz and Carmel Gonzales.
She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Geneve Contreras and Cleto Cruz, and her siblings Joe Cruz, Judy Hernandez, Mona Essary, Terry Robertson, and Robert Cruz. Beatrice was many things; loving, stubborn, selfless, caring, eccentric, fashionable, and deeply empathetic.
She had a heart that gave freely and without hesitation. If you needed something, she would give you the clothes off her back without a second thought. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life.
A devout Christian, she lived with a quiet but steady trust in God, often ending her thoughts with "God willing." She did not just speak her faith, she lived it. Through her humility and constant servitude to others, she reflected Christ's love in a way that was real, tangible, and deeply felt.
Whether it was through a warm meal, a listening ear, or simply showing up when someone needed her, she served others selflessly and without recognition, because that was who she was.

She was happiest in her kitchen, cooking and baking for the people she loved. She had a gift not just for food, but for bringing people together. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and connection. She loved to host, loved to talk, and had a wit and sense of humor that could light up any room.
She wasn't just kind, she was the kind of person people gravitated toward, the nicest person in the room, and often the funniest.
More than anything, Beatrice loved her family. That love was constant, unconditional, and deeply felt by everyone lucky enough to know her.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 11th, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
at her home, located at 108 W Valencia Dr, Amarillo, Texas, 79118. A eulogy will be given at 2:00 PM, and all who wish to share memories or stories are welcome to do so at that time.

Beatrice leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she created.
God willing, we will see her again.

With sad hearts we are letting you know that Bruce Richerson, a former student of Estelline Schools, passed away on January 16, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 30th at Simplicity, located at 281 Treeland Drive in Summerville, South Carolina, where he and his family resided. Please keep all of his family in your prayers.

We are saddened to inform you that a former graduate of Estelline High School, Billy Ferrel, has passed away. His memorial service will be Saturday, January 31st, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Estelline. Following the service there will be a visitation in the fellowship hall at the church.

A dear former student of our Estelline School, Imogean Freeze Farmer, has passed away. Visitation will be Sunday, December 14 from 6:00 to. 9:00, and her memorial service will be Monday, December 15 at 2:00. The service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Childress.

With a sad and broken heart, we have loss another Estelline classmate. Jon Collins (class of 1974), son of the late Paul Collins and Billie Lois (Walker-Collins) Vaughan, has moved to heaven to spend Christmas with Jesus, his parents and his brother Bob Collins.

On December 13th at 11:00 at the Childress Cemetery at the grave site of his parents, a small memorial service will be held for family and friends. If weather turns bad then the service will be moved to the cemetery Chapel.

It’s so nice to post something happy and exciting for once. Someone is having a 90th birthday celebration on November 29th, 2025 at 4:00 pm in the Childress Senior Citizen building. If you happen to guess the man in the picture then you guessed FRANKLIN WYATT. Franklin was in the Estelline class of 1955. Your present at the celebration will be the best gift you could give Franklin. But if you feel the need, just a card would be nice but not a must.

Lanny "Mr. T" Tucker
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lanny Tucker, who entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father at the age of 90 on October 15, 2025. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at First Methodist Church of Memphis, 121 N. 8th St., Memphis, TX, with Bob Robinson officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bartley Funeral Home.

Lanny was born on October 2, 1935, to L. A. and Velma (Newman) Tucker in Estelline, Hall County, TX.

Mr. T earned his Master's Degree at Texas Tech in August 1963. He began his career as an Agriculture Teacher, working in Hart, Estelline, and Memphis, Texas. He excelled in his profession, guiding students to success at every major stock show in the state. Mr. T was passionate about both his job and the students he mentored. A particularly proud moment came when his daughter, Lana, won the Houston Grand Champion in Crossbred Pigs.

He married the love of his life, Mary Alice, on August 8, 1977, in Hart, TX. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and he treasured each moment with them. To his daughter Karla, he was not only a devoted father but also her greatest supporter. He embraced life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing and golf. His kindness and generosity touched everyone he encountered—he had a gift for making people feel cared for and valued.

Lanny is preceded by his wife, Mary Alice Tucker; his parents, L. A. and Velma Tucker; and his son, Jim Tucker.

His memories will be remembered by the family he loved, his children, Lana (husband, Kevin) McLain of Plainview, TX, Karla (husband, Kelly) Campbell of Crosbyton, TX, and Larry (wife, Ginger) of Sherman, TX; as well as his 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Lanny Tucker, 90, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 15, 2025. A celebration of Lanny’s life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church of Memphis at 121 N. 8th Street in Memphis Texas.
